Friday, police were notified of a drive-off that occured at a gas pump at Smith Oil Gas Station. Friday to West Lincoln Way and spoke to individuals present, but both said no one called 911. A false alarm brought deputies to a home on state Route 172, Hanover Township, at 9:35 p.m. A stolen motorcycle also was located there. Lamp, 43, inside the vehicle and charged him with possession of drug abuse instruments and receiving stolen property. Deputies were asked by New Philadelphia police to check in the 14000 block of Foundry Hill Road for a stolen pickup truck. Deputies explained that because this had been an ongoing problem, the next time he dials 911 if there is no emergency, he would be charged. The woman said it was her husband who called 911 and then hung up. Deputies responded to a Hadley Road home after receiving a hang up 911 call at 9:42 a.m. Deputies checked the property and did not find anything out of place. Deputies checked the area, but the caller reported she believed the vehicle left. A suspicious vehicle reportedly pulled into a driveway, turned around and then stopped near a home on state Route 45 at 3:32 a.m.
